Meet Chilli: your future best friend

Chilli is a delightful English Cocker Spaniel with a heart as warm as her name suggests. She’s a lovable, gentle soul who thrives in a peaceful environment where she can shower her people with affection and receive all the cuddles she deserves.

Chilli is the kind of dog who will steal your heart with her gorgeous eyes and her loving nature. She’s incredibly smart and thrives when she’s engaged in activities that challenge her, whether it’s learning new tricks for treats or playing games like hide and seek. Her playful side shines brightest when she’s in a comfortable and familiar environment, and she’ll happily spend hours keeping you entertained with her antics.

Though Chilli enjoys playtime, she’s also a master of relaxation. She’s happiest when she’s curled up beside you on the couch, soaking up all the cuddles you’re willing to give. Her love of snuggles makes her an excellent companion for quiet movie nights or lazy afternoons.

Chilli’s independent side comes out when it’s time for a walk—though she’s not a huge fan of her harness, with a little patience (and maybe a game of chase), she’ll cooperate. And once she’s out and about, she enjoys exploring, but don’t expect her to be the type who needs long, intense walks. Chilli is perfectly content with a leisurely stroll where she can take in all the sights and smells.

When it comes to her social life, Chilli is a bit selective. She’s more comfortable around calm, gentle dogs and avoids overly energetic or rambunctious ones. She also tends to be cautious around strangers, especially men, so she’ll need a patient owner who understands that she takes time to warm up to new people. However, once she feels safe, Chilli is a loyal and loving companion who will be at your side through thick and thin.

Chilli is also a little quirky in the most charming ways. She has a funny fascination with tissues and socks, and her playful curiosity will sometimes lead her to swipe one when you’re not looking. But don’t worry—she’s not destructive, just inquisitive and playful!

Although she’s not fond of loud noises or lots of commotion, Chilli is incredibly adaptive once she feels comfortable in her surroundings. She will thrive in a home where she’s given the time and space to adjust, and where her people understand her need for peace and quiet.

Perfect Home:
Chilli would thrive in a quiet home where she can receive lots of love and attention. She’s used to being an only child, so a home with a mature couple or individual who has ample time to devote to her would be ideal. Older kids (teens) and perhaps a calm, older dog (not a boisterous puppy) may be nice companions. She needs a gentle, calm environment where she can feel safe and cherished.

Chilli will not suit a home with young kids as they scare her. Please do not apply if you live with young kids or plan on having kids in the future. 

Special Note:
Chilli has some resource guarding of high value food and anxiety that needs further confidence building and training. She’s best suited for someone who can provide her with the love, commitment and understanding she needs to thrive.
